Coincidence? I Don’t Think So!

Salomon running shoesRemember my post about prosperity and the principle of giving? I encouraged you to go ahead and give something away. Well it’s been just two days since I wrote that post (maybe three by the time this is published) and I received several blessing today that I just had to share with you.

You see today was a good day. I received two checks from BookWise (for more than expecting), and no bills in the mail. Plus I learned that I won a pair of Salomon XT Wings Trail Running Shoes (valued at over $120.00) and a Polar Feet: Pink Martini Fleece Socks from Polar Feet at the Outdoor Retailer Show that was recently held in Salt Lake. So overall I think today went very well.

  • Was this simply my lucky day? I don’t think so.
  • Was it a coincidence? I say not.
  • Was it God and the law of attraction at work and I attracted to me more than I gave away? Yes, I believe so.
  • Do I give simply so I can get in return? No. I give because I want to bless others.
  • Do I love the serendipitous nature of this all? Yes!!!

Prosperity Principles: The Power of Giving

Those of you who knew me in the past may find the title of this post ironic. You see, until recently, I had struggled financially most of my life. I struggled because of my “lack mentality.”

This lack mentality affected my ability to attract wealth; because I didn’t give enough away. It’s not because I am selfish. I have always been very, very giving of my time and other resources. It was (again) because of fear. Fear of what the future may hold. Fear that there wouldn’t be enough.

There’s the irony. Because I lacked the faith, because I didn’t believe, because I chose to buy into the concept of lack, there wasn’t enough. There is plenty of evidence at work in peoples lives that this is true.

I now choose to believe in the power of giving, rather than fear. To believe in prosperity, rather than lack.

I was delighted today to stumble upon a website titled The Power of Giving. I’d like to invite you to visit it and take a look around. You’ll find resources on philanthropy, tithing, the law of attraction, charity and more.

Then give some money away. Go ahead, do it right now get out your check book, or open your PayPal account. Write out a check to your church, your favorite non-profit organization, or someone in need. I did.

Believe. Act. Give.

My Life Story - Part 2; The Law of Attraction at Work

Masked ManI recently told you about my sixth sense or highly tuned perception and some it’s effects on my life. Much of what I tell you next is a by-product of that gift. You see, I learned to fear a lot when I was very little.

The fear wasn’t because I had a bad home life, in fact I had a great home life. It was because of the energy I felt around me. I didn’t yet know how to protect my own body and soul from the effects of my highly tuned perception and this led a great amount of fear. I was afraid all the time. I had a great fear of men in particular. That fear of men was probably due in part to that man in the mall I told you about earlier.

Now, if you’ve studied anything about the law of attraction you know that you attract to yourself what you think about and that your feelings greatly affect the speed that things come to you. If you haven’t heard about the law of attraction yet, then let me tell you about how I first learned about it. What I learned has proved to be a highly valuable lesson.

The first signs of stress…

The first signs of illness appeared when I was just six years old. I developed a cough. The doctors had no explanation for it. At that point in time the asthma I developed later in life wasn’t apparent. I simply coughed and coughed. Almost 40 years later I still cough, but not as much. Personally I believe that it was my body’s way of trying to get rid of the toxic energy I was feeling all around me. It was the fear trying to escape.

The fear first manifested itself when…
