I’ve learned a little bit more about some proposed United States legislation by having this blog. Because of the title of my blog (Dream, Act, Plan, Believe) I’ve been getting a lot of traffic from people looking for information on The DREAM Act, or the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act.
The DREAM Act Summary
The federal DREAM act is a proposed legislation would provide high achieving high school students, who arrived in the US as minors. They are undocumented immigrants and have lived in the United States for a long term legal status, if they serve in the armed forces or attend college for two years.
History of the DREAM Act
The DREAM Act 2006, and the DREAM Act 2007 were both defeated, but because all three candidates for president supported the bill there is a push to reintroduce the DREAM act. So we may be looking at a future DREAM Act 2009.

It feels like it. But I’m not posting a picture. So forget the question.
I know that you may be expecting the next round of the Who Am I? Entregame today. However, I just returned from the dentist after having a broken tooth removed. It had broken into enough pieces that some of the bone had to be removed to get the root out, and naturally is a little painful.
The dentist gave me Percocet for the pain. That’s because I can’t stand Lortab or Codiene. Those two irritate my stomach so bad that it feels like an alien is trying to burst through my stomach. You had to see the movie Alien to understand what I mean. The pain is much worse than the pain the medication is trying to cover up.

Yesterday I asked you all about my Entrecard and what I could do to improve it. Some of the comments got me thinking about what I could put in my banner that would be more fitting with the blogs theme and I decided to change the look of the blog.
I’ve still got to change some of the blog’s coloring to be more fitting with the new banner, particularly the accent colors and the header text. But this is a start.
So what do you think or it and the new Entrecard?

My oldest child, Austin, turned 16 years old today. Wow!
It’s so hard to believe that I’ve been a mom for sixteen years. It seems like just a couple, and yet at the same time it seems like I have been one forever. It has gone so quickly. Still it seems like forever because I can’t imagine my life without my kids. They are such a motivating factor in my life.
When he was born in March I never imagined his birthday would fall on Easter. My understanding is that the next time it would happen would be in 100 years. So it’s pretty much a once-in-a-life-time birthday for him.
Austin - I’m proud of you. I’m proud of the man you are becoming. You are a wonderful guy!
