Fred’s blog offers daily updated photographs of New York City. I haven’t had the opportunity to visit New York City yet, but look forward to my daily visit via Fred’s blog.

Fred isn’t a native New Yorker. In fact he was born and raised in Alaska. He moved to New York City in 1994. Since moving there, he has worked mostly in the television industry as a director of photography. He also teaches photography at the college level.

Fred said, “Still photography remains one of my great passions. Sure, I have had several gigs but mostly do it for myself. Of course, once I came here, I took “NYC” shots but did a lot more still life photography. This is one of the reasons I began my photoblog, to “force” myself to take shots that before I would think about but not actually do.”

An interesting bit of trivia about Fred is that he as driven across the USA several times and have been to 49 of the 50 states. Which one did he miss? Nebraska!

I’d love to see all the interesting photos he has taken is his travels. How about another blog? U.S. Nitty Gritty.
