this is soooo true! I used to hoard my money. a fat bank account was my source of security. and i worry A LOT that i might lose it. never tithed in Church. then the Lord just dealt with me and I started giving. now, I receive more blessings and I DON'T WORRY anymore. Thanks for posting this. God bless you!

You are so right. They should not be random acts. But I do think the moment one receives pay it is beneficial to write out a check for 10% of ones earnings and give back to God (through one's church), or give to charity. Then keep looking for additional ways to give to people and develop a habit of giving.

I can't speak for Saphrym, but I don't believe for either Saphrym or myself that these were random acts. I intended it to be a note of encouragement to others to spread the giving spirit.

It must be in the air! Saphrym posted about having a good day and giving away stuff to several people. Perhaps its that Spring is just around the corner or Easter season has begun.

Please don't think I'm belittling either of your acts. They are wonderful and an inspiration to us all! Giving, though should not be a random act. It should be an exercise done daily. When it becomes a habit, like love, it spreads and the world becomes a better place.

You know, we are governed not only by natural laws but also by spiritual laws. One of these laws is: It is more blessed to give than to receive. You will get a lot more back when you give something - whatever it is. The reward may not be in cash, but in other forms like friends, trust from other people, confidence in your own role good role in humanity - and all these will just add up to make your life happier, more meaningful and more positive.

There is also another power that we should take more advantage of - the power of confession. Declare with your lips that you have abundance in your life. As you have said, it is important to have that faith that there will always be enough for you left after you have given something of it away.

I always find these things at work in my life. And since I am a Christian, I always look to God as the One I am giving to. and since I can never outgive God, there is always abundance in my life. I not only believe this but I declare it as well in my life.
